My company is trying to weld 304L stainless steel id tags on to astm 572 carbon steel. we are having trouble with liniar cracks along the toe line on the tag side of the weld. we are using E80C 045 metal core wire. our wps parameters only allow us a min of 27 volts and 225 amps. in my mind this is the wrong wire and the setting are way to hot. i think we should be using more like 308L
